yea, i was thinking that if i put the top one is the 3dskybox it might be ok with it, if not ill have to try work around it. im thinking i might have to have 2 completely different versionos of the map, i have two options for where the objectives can lead, so im thinking that i put in the extra effort and make two :/

3d skyboxes can be your friend, but also your worst enemy.

i got thw water working fine, and it looks great, these screens show a textured side of the dam and some other stuff. You might notice low fps, this is simply because i have not optimised the map at all so the whole thing is rendered at once.

Make the water kill you, put a fallen electrical pylon or something to give a reason to it, then you can put the water in the skybox and save a bundle of frames :)

Do not put expensive water in the skybox. Don't listen to ViralHatred too much. Those are my two extremely strong suggestions.

Hey, that is starting to look good. I really really like the level design. One thing though, I would seriously beta test this and quick. Reason being, you want to make sure these areas play well before you go on with designing the rest of your map and detailing those areas. It looks pretty good and I hope it plays as well as it looks.

Good idea, that's the way to test a map.

Put some sharks in the water. That map is going to need some badass enlightening because of so much dark-blue and grey surfaces.

dont worry, most of the map is situated inside the dam so lighting is pretty much fine.

Throw in some electricity and you've got a bingo reson to prevent players accessing the water.

K-7, I'd get your map playtested before worrying about that, [or really any level of detail] honestly. Like Pyroguy said, Dys maps usually don't turn out that well the first time, and need a lot of edits. It's generally easier if you can make those edits before a lot of detail is added.
